Start a request
Start a care request
This is where your request begins. Choose the type of care – the care request assistant in the portal then asks for the postcode and shows whether participating care providers can be reached there. You do not enter any health details on this website.
What kind of care are you looking for?
Home care service
Help in your own home, on fixed days and at fixed times.
Day care and night care
Care in a facility during the day or at night.
Out-of-hospital intensive care
Specialised care, for example for ventilation.
Assisted living
Care by a home care service in assisted living or in a shared flat.
Not sure which type fits? The overview of the types of care explains the differences. You can still change the type of care later when editing the request.
How the care request assistant continues
1. Type of care and place
Choose the type of care and the postcode – you see how many participating care providers can be reached in your region. We do not need the street or house number.
2. Create an account or sign in
A free personal account with your email address, which you confirm once. If you continue in the same browser, the type of care and the postcode are already filled in.
3. What help, from when
The preferred start and the support needed in everyday language, plus the care level if known.
4. Check and post
A few words about the situation, then you consciously post the request.
The portal explains technical terms where they appear. If something does not fit together, it points this out to you.
Data protection for your request
The request is posted in pseudonymised form – without the name, address or date of birth of the person who needs care. The details of the care need are still health data and are therefore kept only in the protected portal.
From this page, the link to the portal only passes on the chosen type of care, no other details. Please do not send any health details through the contact form.
A care provider only sees your telephone number and email address once you have selected it.

Not an emergency service
Pflege Patienten is not an emergency or acute care service. In an emergency, call 112; outside surgery hours you can reach the medical on-call service on 116 117.
Still unsure?
There is separate guidance for relatives on representation and preparation. Answers to frequently asked questions are in the help section.
