Pflege Patienten does not arrange flats or places in a shared flat. Landlords, providers or the shared flat itself decide on them.

The platform helps with the next step: finding a home care service that can provide the care where the person lives.

Postcode and town of the flat or shared flat. The full address does not belong in the request.

What help

What support is needed – for example with personal care, medication or the household. Technical terms are not necessary.

When

The preferred start and on which days and at which times of day help is needed.

Contact person

Who can be reached in the flat or shared flat for questions. A home care service only sees your contact details once you have chosen it.

How to proceed

1. Choose the type of care and the place

In the care request assistant you choose ‘Assisted living’ and the place and see whether participating providers can be reached there.

2. Create an account

Free of charge, with your email address, which you confirm once. Then you describe the help needed.

3. Review responses

Providers in your region whose offer fits the request express interest or ask questions.

4. Choose together

After your choice and the confirmation by both sides, you agree the start directly with the home care service.

Questions about assisted living

No. Pflege Patienten is not an emergency or acute care service. In an emergency, call 112; outside surgery hours you can reach the medical on-call service on 116 117.

Yes, if you are allowed to represent them – for example with a lasting power of attorney (Vorsorgevollmacht), as their legal guardian (rechtliche Betreuung) or because they have expressly asked you to. Being related does not in itself entitle you to pass on another person's health details. If the person can still take part in the decision, involve them. This website cannot judge whether a power of attorney is sufficient in an individual case.

Registered home care services and care providers whose service area covers the place you entered and whose offer fits the request. They see the details needed for matching – such as the type of care, place and approximate distance, start, services required and care level – but no name, no address and no date of birth. A care provider only sees your telephone number and email address once you have selected it.

Yes. In the portal you edit your request, drop services that are no longer needed or end the request, for example once you have arranged the care elsewhere. If no takeover has been agreed for any service after 14 days, the request is closed as 'not placed'; on day 11 you receive an advance warning.
